The fitting of two Velux windows to our 10-year old top-floor apartment proved a simple proposition for Syd and we are delighted with the result. I have had regular meetings and conversations with Syd on a project house that I am doing.  It is an old cottage with many period features that requires a complete refurbishment and I have valued his input and suggestions for this house.  His interest in using traditional methods and materials which support the longevity of the property are a refreshing change, whereas some people would just put modern materials into an old property.  We have recently started the groundworks on my renovation cottage and Syd’s team were hard working and at the end of each day the site was clear and tidy.  I look forward to working with Syd and his team on the rest of the project where we will be looking to use traditional materials and methods where possible.

We recently had SBC doing some work on our period cottage. We had a rough idea of what we wanted but were so grateful for the advice and help from Syd.

His wealth of knowledge covering all aspects of renovation, both the engineering and décor side of things, was invaluable and we were able to really work together to bring to life exactly what we had hoped for and more.

Syd also brought to our attention other factors that we had not considered and provided us with excellent options in order to provide the best solution. We felt completely in control at all times and were consulted and involved at every stage of the process with excellent communication.

He worked on interior plaster repairs, substantial exterior structural repairs involving major joinery work, brick work and exterior plaster work.
